Alyssa Ritz

Head of Production

Alyssa Ritz has risen through the ranks at Image Engine to become Head of Production due to her dedication and commitment to supporting teams, developing best practices in production workflows, and maintaining the highest standards of efficiency.

Her first three years in the VFX industry began at Prime Focus, where she worked as a nighttime render wrangler for the film Tron Legacy in 2010. The next three years were spent between Digital Domain and Sony, where she served as a show coordinator for Fast and Furious 7, Beauty and the Beast, and Alice in Wonderland 2

Coming to Image Engine in 2016, she was a coordinator on projects such as Power Rangers, Detroit, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Over the next years, she would see promotions to Dept Production Manager for FX, as well as Production Manager for Snowpiercer season 3 and Willow. In 2022, she was promoted to Central Production Manager before currently earning her role as the Head of Production.

As Head of Production, Alyssa collaborates closely with production teams on active shows and departmental strategies, focusing on big-picture planning and organization. She excels in establishing efficient processes and clear communication channels across the studio.

Alyssa’s commitment to training and development extends beyond her role at Image Engine. She has contributed to the curriculum development and teaching team for the “Production for Animation and VFX” course at Vancouver Community College’s department of continuing studies, in partnership with DigiBC.
