In season one of the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, a bounty hunter Din Djarin, an orphan raised by Mandalorian warriors, hopscotched across the galaxy while protecting a mysterious, soup-sipping Child. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, lawless has spread throughout the galaxy.
Image Engine contributed visual effects to 441 shots across multiple episodes in the first season of The Mandalorian, telling the story of the bounty hunter and the people from whom he hails. This work entailed vast digital environments and set extensions, as well as CG creature work, including droids and digital doubles, among other effects.
Directed by Jon Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers, Gina Carano, Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte, and Taika Waititi.
