World VFX Day is almost here, and we’re thrilled to be part of this global celebration of visual effects! This fantastic initiative highlights the artistry, talent, and innovation that fuel our industry, and we’re excited to contribute to the event with two special sessions.
This year’s event has over 100 speakers, 60 talks, and 20 hours of discussions and learning, showcasing the work and expertise of VFX professionals from around the globe. Here’s a quick look at what’s happening:
December 6: Live from Tokyo
The event kicks off in Tokyo, where speakers will be chatting live in-person in 30-minute sessions. With over 10 hours of content planned, it will be able to reach audiences across most time zones.
December 8: World VFX Day
This day is dedicated to everyone, including students, new-to-industry, career climbers and lifelong learners. There will be a variety of topics to share knowledge and discuss education, and career. Learn from incredible people in the industry on the official World VFX Day.

Image Engine crew are hosting two exciting sessions on Dec. 8, 2024:
VFX Producer Roundtable – Join Image Engine’s visual effects producers for an insightful discussion covering workflows, industry challenges, and the balance between creativity, quality, deadlines, and budgets. The Nodes behind Avatar: The Last Airbender – Our lead compositor, Ali Ehtemami shares a behind-the-scenes look at our compositing work on Netflix’s recent series for this live-action adaptation.
