Brian Spanzyk is a visual effects producer at Image Engine with two decades of experience in film production since 2007. His career spans both on-set production and visual effects, giving him a practical understanding of how creative vision, client expectations, and production realities come together. Known for his calm leadership, strong organization, and detailed production planning, Brian plays an important role in supporting successful project delivery.
Most recently, Brian served as visual effects producer on Keeper, helping guide the film’s creature-driven visual effects from early collaboration through final delivery while balancing creative goals, schedule, and resources. At Image Engine, he has also contributed to The Old Guard 2 and Kraven the Hunter, supporting productions across different scales and creative demands. He originally joined the studio in 2015 before returning in 2022, drawn back by the people, culture, and quality of work.
Prior to Image Engine, Brian spent four years at Atomic Cartoons producing a 3D series for Netflix, progressing from production manager to line producer. He also spent a decade working on set as an assistant director across a range of feature films, including Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol in Prague, Dubai, and Vancouver. His production experience also includes work on projects such as Inception, Man of Steel, Tomorrowland, Godzilla, and Cabin in the Woods, collaborating with studios including Lionsgate, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Legendary Entertainment, and The Walt Disney Company.
Outside of visual effects, Brian is an award-winning independent filmmaker whose work has been showcased at festivals worldwide.
