With meticulous attention to detail and boundless passion, Cara brings a wealth of experience to Image Engine as a visual effects executive producer. Building and nurturing relationships with the studio’s clients, Cara curates projects for the studio and collaborates closely with the visual effects producers, ensuring each project reaches its full potential.
Cara’s production career began at Framestore London in 2007, where she worked on The Tale of Despereaux as a production assistant and then continued on to coordinate multiple departments on multiple shows, including the ground-breaking projects, Avatar and Gravity.
In 2010, Cara moved to Aardman Animation in Bristol, where she worked on the stop-motion feature Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists as technical coordinator and helped the studio set up their visual effects division.
Afterwards, Cara made the move to Vancouver and joined Image Engine in 2012 as a visual effects producer before she was promoted to visual effects executive producer in 2023. As a part of the Senior Management Team, Cara serves as a mentor to producers at Image Engine and plays a pivotal role in shaping the studio’s strategic vision.
Cara Davies has since contributed to many of the studio’s high-profile projects, including the Emmy Award-winning The Book of Boba Fett, as well as Ahsoka, The Mandalorian seasons 1, 2, and 3, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Lost in Space: Season 1, Detroit, Logan, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Independence Day: Resurgence, The X-Files season 10, Point Break, American Sniper, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
