Image Engine contributed vast icy environments, a battle between two trains, underwater environment transformations, destruction sequences, and a bionic arm, among other effects for Snowpiercer: Season 2.
Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer depicts a post-apocalyptic world in which the surviving members of the Earth’s population are living on a train as the world outside freezes in unlivable conditions.
The TV series was adapted from the 2013 film of the same name. In Netflix’s take on the tale, Tony Award winner Hamilton star Daveed Diggs is the leader of the Tailies and fights for a fair democracy aboard Snowpiercer. He goes head to head with Oscar winner Jennifer Connelly, head of hospitality on the train.
