Tyler Weiss is a visual effects producer with over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry, a decade of which took place in the Vancouver post-production scene.
Tyler’s career started in a different kind of creative industry – as a university trained jazz musician, he toured the world with a variety of music groups. This led to Tyler training in sound engineering and design, where, through various commercial projects, he discovered a flair for business, team leadership, and problem solving.
Tyler went on to co-found Goldtooth Creative Agency, acting as vice-president and director of audio. During this time, he composed original scores for Astonishing X-Men and Mortal Kombat: Legacy and oversaw sound and post-production for numerous independent documentaries and films.
This experience led Tyler into the world of production management, during which time he oversaw commercial and trailer projects for such clients as Microsoft Xbox, Electronic Arts, Activision and Square Enix. He also worked at Zoic Studios, producing VFX for the Emmy-nominated The 100.
Tyler Weiss joined Image Engine in 2015 to produce HBO’s acclaimed Game of Thrones: Seasons 6, 7, and 8. He has also contributed to Image Engine projects including The Three-Body Problem, Moon Knight, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Swan Song, Assassin’s Creed, and The Last Witch Hunter.
Tyler brings his skills as a natural people person to the Image Engine team, combining an understanding of team dynamics and client relationships with robust organizational skills. Through his varied skill-set, Tyler drives projects to the finish line at the utmost level of quality.
