Image Engine is thrilled to receive a VES Award nomination for ‘Outstanding Animated Character in a Photoreal Feature’ for our team’s recent work on Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Congratulations to our animation supervisor, Richard Spriggs and the entire Image Engine crew who worked to produce the complex and stunning Carnage animation.

Led by our talented VFX supervisor Christian Irles, we delivered 202 shots across multiple sequences with a team of 105 artists. Along with many sequences, Image Engine’s main work revolved around the entire Ravencroft Escape which included Carnage Wraith, Shriek’s Scream, and a full CG environment replacement.

The Visual Effects Society (VES) revealed nominees for the VES Awards in their press release on January 18, 2022. The prestigious yearly celebration honours the most outstanding visual effects work of the year and the artists who created them. This marks the Society’s 20th VES Awards program and is being celebrated during the organization’s milestone 25th Anniversary.

VES winners will be announced at the VES Awards Gala on March 8, 2022.
