Animation Supervisor

After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alberta College of Art and Design and a certification from Sheridan College in Computer Animation, Richard Spriggs started his career in 2007 at Guru Studios in Toronto working on the television series Backyardigans. From there he did stints at Soho VFX and Starz Animation before moving to London to work at Moving Picture Company in 2010.

While at MPC, Richard worked as an animator on titles such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2, Wrath of the Titans, and Man of Steel. He then transferred to MPC in Vancouver where he took on the role of Lead Animator for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Godzilla, and Goosebumps. He was promoted to Animation Supervisor in 2016 and in that role worked on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Sully, and Alpha.

Richard Spriggs joined Image Engine in 2018 as an Animation Supervisor, bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to projects such as The Three-Body Problem, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Swan Song, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Project Power, Bloodshot, and Pokémon Detective Pikachu.
