Image Engine is proud to announce that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew has won the 2026 Children’s & Family Emmy Award for ‘Outstanding Visual Effects for a Live Action Program’

Image Engine is proud to announce that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew has won the 2026 Children’s & Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Visual Effects for a Live Action Program. The honour was presented on March 2, 2026 at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) ceremony in New York.

The award recognizes the visual effects work that helped bring the world of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew to life. Image Engine contributed 288 shots across episodes 1–6, delivering character work, large-scale environments, creature animation, and FX-driven sequences that supported the storytelling and visual identity of the show.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see the team’s work on Skeleton Crew recognized with an Emmy,” said Andy Walker, visual effects supervisor for Image Engine on Skeleton Crew. “The project was a true collaboration across artists, departments, and production partners, and I’m proud of what we achieved together. It’s an honour to accept this Children’s Emmy Award for Outstanding Visual Effects on behalf of the entire team.”

Image Engine has established a long-term creative partnership with Lucasfilm, contributing visual effects work to multiple projects across the Star Wars universe, including The Book of Boba Fett, which also received an Emmy Award, The Mandalorian seasons 1–3, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, Willow, and the upcoming Mandalorian & Grogu feature film.
