With over 20 years of experience, Jesus Lavin serves as a compositing supervisor at Image Engine, where he has been integral to the studio’s creature and environment-focused visual effects.
Since joining Image Engine in 2007, Jesus has taken on roles with increasing levels of responsibility including senior compositor, lead compositor, and currently, compositing supervisor. In this time he has contributed to many of Image Engine’s projects from some of its earliest days such as District 9, Chappie, Jurassic World, The School for Good and Evil, Hawkeye, Snowpiercer season 2, The Old Guard, Mulan, Carnival Row, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Point Break, Fast & Furious 6, The Incredible Hulk, and more.
Beginning his career in Madrid in 2001, Jesus was a runner and then a compositor at Stromboli Animation, Mad Pix, and Serena Digital before relocating to Vancouver to work at Image Engine, where he has played a pivotal role in the company’s success.
