As the year winds down, Image Engine had a very festive few weeks filled with plenty of activities to get our crew feeling warm and jolly!

It’s been quite a year with a lot for us to be thankful for, much to celebrate, and many reasons to get together. Check out all our holiday-themed events for our crew below!

The holidays are one of the best times of the year! At Image Engine, we like to recognize and celebrate all the passion, artistry, and hard work every member of our crew puts into projects throughout the year with an annual Winter Party.

This year, it was hosted at the Rocky Mountaineer Station in Vancouver, BC on December 2, 2022. There was delicious food and drinks, a vintage photo booth bus, and DJ Spinout on the dance floor. We also gave out tons of amazing raffle prizes including a MacBook Air and iPad Pro!

For entertainment, we had an assortment of games such as giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, Dance Dance Revolution machine, Pac-Man arcade machine, and casino tables with dealers for poker, roulette, blackjack, and more! Looked like everyone had a great night!

While some teams hosted their own department gift exchange, we also offered the option for crew to participate in a company-wide one. It was a great way to engage with coworkers and have a little holiday fun. Finding the perfect gift is never easy but our elves had a little help from secret wishlists. For those that made it into the office, we were able to swap gifts in person 🎁

While our crew is used to being creative on the computer, we wanted to see how creative they could get with hands as well! We challenged everyone’s DIY skills by setting up tables full of craft supplies to allow anyone to enjoy a relaxing moment to create ornaments, origami, greeting cards, wreaths,  and more. We also organized set times when our crafter extraordinaire and HR Manager, Tracy, led us through tutorials in creating snow globes and bearded gnomes while enjoying some fancy hot chocolate.

At Image Engine, we like to promote collaboration and teamwork. On the other hand, we figured a little friendly competition to bring out our holiday spirit wouldn’t hurt! We hosted a variety of activities for our crew to participate in at the studio or virtually for Best Ugly Sweater, Most Festive Workspace, Gift Wrapping, and Holiday House competitions with enticing prizes listed below for first and second-place winners. Congrats to all the winners!

• Sculpd pottery box with clay, pottery guide, paintbrushes, paint, varnish, paint pens, notebook, etc.
• Paint box with acrylics, brushes, palette knives, markers, acrylic art spray, canvas, etc.
• Markers box with different markers, pens, and paper pack.
• Light therapy lamps

This year, we are grateful Image Engine was able to continue its tradition of partnering with Purpose Society to help spread warmth and goodwill during the holidays. Thanks to our kind and generous staff members, we were able to collect this mountain of gifts, grocery gift cards, toiletries, and donations to help local families.

On behalf of our crew and clients, Image Engine has also donated to a variety of charities including the Canadian Red Cross, BC Cancer Society, VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, Greater Vancouver Food Bank, Qmunity, Canadian Mental Health Association, Indian Residential School Survivors Society, North Shore Rescue, World Central Kitchen, and World Bicycle Relief.

As we wrap up a busy 2022 and head into an equally busy 2023, Image Engine will be closed so that everyone has time to take a well-deserved break!

Our studio will be closed starting on December 23, 2022 and we’ll be back on January 3, 2023. We hope all of our crew, clients, friends, and families have a merry and bright holiday season and a happy new year!
