Ryan Woodward

CG Supervisor

Originally from the UK, Ryan Woodward is a CG supervisor at Image Engine with experience in visual effects since 2009, bringing a strong background in both creative and technical leadership.

At Image Engine, he supports the development of efficient workflows, working closely with teams to ensure complex visual effects are delivered to a high standard while staying aligned with client goals. He has served as CG supervisor on projects such as Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, Murderbot, Ahsoka, and The Mandalorian season 3.

Prior to joining the studio in 2022, Ryan built his career over more than a decade at DNEG in London and Vancouver, working across matchmove, lighting, and texture roles. His work there includes contributions to high-profile films such as Inception, Interstellar, The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel, Godzilla, and more. Stepping into supervision, he later took on roles as sequence supervisor and build supervisor, overseeing teams and contributing to large-scale projects including Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Pacific Rim: Uprising, among others. 

Ryan studied Multimedia Computing at De Montfort University in Leicester, England, and further developed his visual effects skillset through training at Escape Studios.
