Compositing supervisor Matt Yeoman graduated with honours from the Television Broadcasting and Multimedia program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).
He began his visual effects career in 2004 at Technicolor, first as VFX I/O and then as a compositor. During his time at the studio, Matt contributed to several films, including Surrogates, The Haunting in Connecticut, and Jennifer’s Body.
In 2009, Matt branched out to other visual effects studios in Vancouver. Over the next two years, he worked on many films such as The Twilight Saga: New Moon & Eclipse, Gunless, Ramona & Beezus, The Losers, Devil, and RED on behalf of Prime Focus, MPC Vancouver, Image Engine, CIS, and Zoic Studios.
Matt returned to Image Engine in 2010 to lend his compositing skills to The Thing. Since then, he has taken on increasing levels of responsibility as senior compositor, lead compositor, and compositing supervisor working on a slate of blockbuster films and prestige television series including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Chappie, Game of Thrones, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Logan, Lost In Space, Project Power, Snowpiercer, and The Mandalorian.
As compositing supervisor, Matt collaborates with other department supervisors, mentors his team, and ensures that artists deliver the highest quality of work on his projects.
