As visual effects executive producer, Liz Roberts engages directly with clients and productions at Image Engine to ensure a collaborative, efficient, and seamless process, from bidding through to delivery.
Starting her career in 1997 at Glassworks in London, UK, Liz worked as a producer on numerous commercials, music videos, and R&D development projects.
In 2003, she moved into feature animation and worked in a variety of production roles at Vanguard Animation and CORE Digital Pictures in both the UK and Canada.
Liz made the transition to VFX in 2008, joining the Moving Picture Company in Vancouver. Initially joining as a production manager for Watchmen & Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, she also undertook studio production roles, including central production and resource manager. In 2009, Liz was promoted to VFX producer and focused her production expertise on a number of high-profile features, including The A-Team, The Big Year, Dark Shadows, Fast & Furious 6, Seventh Son, and Elysium.
After almost 10 years at MPC, Liz made the switch to Image Engine to become a VFX executive producer, where she plays a significant role in supporting clients, producers, VFX supervisors, and others across a number of studio projects. As a member of the senior management team, Liz defines high-level strategy and logistics, ensuring the studio continues to deliver the highest standard of work.
Liz has most recently executive produced Image Engine’s visual effects work for Foundation season 2, Snowpiercer seasons 2-4, The School of Good and Evil, Hawkeye, The Unforgivable, The Old Guard, The Twilight Zone, Birds of Prey: Harley Quinn, Sextuplets, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, and Pokémon Detective Pikachu.
