Buhas M Pallathputhampully is head of matchmove at Image Engine, bringing over a decade of experience in matchmove and layout, along with strong technical expertise and leadership. In his role, he oversees matchmove workflows across the studio, supporting teams and ensuring consistent, high-quality results across a wide range of projects.
Since joining Image Engine, Buhas has contributed his expertise across many productions, working closely with supervisors, artists, and production teams to help translate creative intent into technically accurate foundations for visual effects work.
Prior to Image Engine, Buhas held senior roles at DNEG, Base FX, and MPC, where he progressed from matchmove and rotoanim roles into supervision and leadership positions. Throughout his career, he has worked across global teams and complex productions, developing a strong understanding of cross-site collaboration and pipeline workflows.
He began his career in Bangalore after completing a degree in Business Management from Bangalore University and training in visual effects at Frameboxx, building a foundation in tracking and layout that continues to inform his work today.
