Visual Effects Supervisor

Daniel Elope is a visual effects supervisor at Image Engine and has been working in the visual effects industry since 2000 across Canada, Australia, UK, Denmark, and the UAE. Over the years, he has contributed to feature films, episodic series, and interactive experiences, blending artistry with advanced workflows to deliver standout results.

Daniel recently contributed to 1923 Season 2 at beloFX and was co-VFX supervisor on Here at DNEG, alongside DFX Supervisor credits on Fast X, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, Uncharted, and Infinite. Prior to that, he served as compositing supervisor at Image Engine for four years, where he helped shape projects such as Bloodshot, The Mandalorian, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, The Meg, Detroit, Logan, and Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive.

His early career in compositing included roles at Sony, ILM, Mr. X, Hybride, and Ghost A/S, as well as Condor in Dubai. Before stepping into visual effects, Daniel began as an assistant producer and Avid editor, giving him a foundational understanding of storytelling and production that continues to inform his VFX leadership today.

Originally from Calgary, Canada, Daniel moved to Australia to study film production at the Academy of Photogenic Arts. This international beginning launched his career in Sydney and set the tone for a profession defined by global collaboration and a lifelong commitment to evolving technologies. Daniel believes the best moments come from shared inspiration and bringing those references, memories, and ideas into the heart of a production.
