Liz Roberts, dedicated Head of VFX Production at Cinesite Group, is a driving force behind visual effects teams across the company’s global studios, including Image Engine in Vancouver, Trixter in Munich, and two Cinesite locations in Montreal and London.
With a career spanning back to 1997, Liz brings an innate understanding of production management that is coupled with a passion for streamlined and collaborative production processes. Her expertise encompasses every aspect of production and is a beacon of guidance within the Cinesite Group, ensuring the delivery of work at the highest standard.
Starting her career at Glassworks in London, UK, Liz worked as a producer on numerous commercials, music videos, and R&D development projects. Transitioning to feature animation in 2003, she held diverse production roles at Vanguard Animation and CORE Digital Pictures in both the UK and Canada. In 2008, Liz joined the Moving Picture Company (MPC) in Vancouver as a production manager and swiftly rose through the ranks to become a visual effects producer.
After almost a decade at MPC, Liz made the transition to Image Engine in 2018, where she served as a visual effects executive producer for over five years. In this capacity, she played a vital role in shaping high-level strategy and logistics, as well as providing support to clients, producers, and VFX supervisors across studio projects.
Liz recently executive produced projects such as Foundation season 2, Snowpiercer seasons 2-4, The School for Good and Evil, Hawkeye, The Unforgivable, The Old Guard, The Twilight Zone, Birds of Prey: Harley Quinn, Sextuplets, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, and Pokémon Detective Pikachu.
