Chad is a skilled and experienced animator, with almost two decades in the industry. He currently holds the position of Animation Supervisor at Image Engine.
Staying aligned with his childhood passion of scribbling robots and spaceships all over the walls of his parent’s home, Chad trained at film school and kept busy taking summer college courses in traditional and computer animation – all of which enabled him to build an impressive demo reel to kickstart his career.
Working in commercial animation at Duck Soup Studios in Los Angeles, Chad kicked off his career working on projects such as Pilsbury’s Doughboy.
From there he moved to the VFX and animation studio Rhythm & Hues, where he stayed for over 13 years honing his skills and working his way up to Animation Supervisor. During this time he worked on blockbuster films such as Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone, The Incredible Hulk and The Hunger Games.
In October 2014, Chad moved to Vancouver and started working for VFX studio MPC as Senior Animator. It was whilst working on Goosebumps for the studio in 2015 that he first encountered Image Engine’s Jason Snyman, who then saw Chad’s potential for Independence Day: Resurgence.
Since joining Image Engine, Chad has worked on KINGSGLAIVE: FINAL FANTASY XV as animator and Power Rangers as supervisor. Due to the nature of his role, Chad is always looking at both the smallest details and the bigger pictures, as well as empowering his team to ensure they always deliver their best.
